How I set it up
- You tell me about your shopA short form, or a call with me, Jeremy: your hours, your services, the questions your callers always ask, and what counts as urgent for your trade.
- I set it up myself, from VenetaNot a self-serve portal. You keep your number; your phone forwards the calls you miss, and after-hours calls, to the AI.
- It answers, then texts youIt gets the caller's name, number (read back), where they are, what they need and how urgent, then texts a summary to the cell number you gave me, so you can call back when your hands are free.
Calls Lane County shops miss
Made-up callers, written the way calls come in around Lane County. The live demos use a made-up shop; the voice and the questions are the real thing.
Auto repair Live demo
"Check-engine light came on driving in from Noti. Can you look at it today?"
The AI: gets year, make and model, what the car's doing, whether it's drivable, and when they can bring it in, then texts you while you're still under the lift.

"Water heater's leaking all over the garage out in Elmira, and it's Saturday morning."
The AI: asks if the water's shut off, how bad it is, the address, and when they can be reached, and marks it urgent in your text.
▶ Hear the plumbing demoElectrical Live demo
"Half the house went dark in the windstorm out by Crow, and the breaker won't reset."
The AI: asks which rooms are out, whether there's a burning smell, and the address, and flags it urgent if it sounds unsafe. You decide who goes out.
▶ Hear the electrical demoHVAC Live demo
"Furnace quit on the first cold Willamette Valley night, and we've got kids in the house."
The AI: asks what kind of system, whether there's any heat at all, the address, and how soon they need you, even when it's 10 p.m. and you're off the clock.
▶ Hear the HVAC demoSalon / barber
"Can I get a cut and color before my sister's wedding in Eugene this Saturday?"
The AI: takes their name, the service, the days that work, and a callback number while you finish the fade. It never books the chair; you confirm.
Pet grooming
"My dog rolled in something awful out by Fern Ridge. Any chance you've got a bath this week?"
The AI: gets the dog's breed and size, the service, the days that work, and a callback number. No price quotes over the phone; you set the appointment.

The guy who sets it up
I'm Jeremy Alvarado, a local dad in Veneta. I served in the Marine Corps from 2009 to 2015.
I set up every receptionist myself for owner-run shops around Lane County, and I answer my own phone. If something's off, you get me, not a call center.
Phone: coming soon
Run your own numbers
Three numbers only you know: missed calls a week, your average job, and how many of those callers would've booked. I won't hand you an industry average.

Questions shop owners ask me
Will callers know they're talking to an AI?
Yes. I set it up so it tells every caller it's an AI assistant and that the call may be recorded. It never quotes prices and never books a job without you.
Is recording calls legal in Oregon?
For phone calls, Oregon generally allows recording when one party consents (ORS 165.540), and the AI announces the possible recording on every call anyway. This is not legal advice; check with your own advisor if you're unsure.
Do I keep my phone number?
Yes. Nothing changes for your customers. I walk you through the forwarding myself, and you can turn it off anytime.
